T. David Downs

T. David Downs was born in 1976 in Bowie Texas. He currently lives and works in the American Southeast. His mentorships began with painter Thaddeus Suits in Aiken, South Carolina in 1998. He then studied under Peter Homitzsky at the Art Students League of New York from 2005-2009 with a focus on landscape painting. During this period, he also conducted independent studies at the Metropolitan Museum of Art 2010-2012. David participated in Bo Bartlett’s Master Class in painting in Columbus, Georgia from 2015-2016. His works have been shown nationally and internationally.
